Cheers to 2015!

As I said, I loved being home with my family for Christmas. By the time we got back to MO though we only had about 24 hours to repack and head up to Kansas City to have a major friend reunion with some of our favorite people alive. That particular group of friends hasn’t all been together in 5 years or so and our stomach muscles were hurting because the LPM (laughs per minute) ratio was pretty off the charts. So much fun.

Speaking of fun, I recently did a collaboration with Women’s Health online magazine and I shared with them last week my favorite tips for having a luxurious NYE evening in. This approach is totally something I would recommend for any date night when you feel lazy and it’s too cold to venture outside (which is pretty much every night around here lately…).Hope you guys had a fun New Year’s Eve! I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store!signature

i’m no longer on instagram but check your feed every now and again and i’m wondering how mac the cat is doing? my cat got sick after a vet visit (we think it was the rabies shot) so we started taking her to a holistic vet. he doesn’t force the shots and recommends wysong brand cat food as well as pet guard. she prefers wysong and sometimes we mix it up with another non-gmo brand, acana. they’re a bit more expensive than the purina but we’ll pay anything to keep our cat happy and healthy! 🙂

He’s doing fine now, he felt much better by the next morning and is back to his old self. We think he might have digestive issues though, so we are trying a few gentle on the tummy food brands to see if that helps. Thanks for asking though!

    Hi Laura,

I have been following Elsie’s work for almost five years, and was (finally) introduced to your work when you joined the ABM team. Your creative projects are now often my favorites! I followed you on Instagram and Pinterest immediately (I’m kristinaabretti :)) because I became so in awe of your creative eye (and fashion sense – I can’t lie).

That said, for some reason, I never visited the band wife until today.

Well…. Two hours later: I’m a little (totally) obsessed. I find your blog equal parts witty, innovative and completely inspiring! I couldn’t help sending some positive energy your way. I really really love what you’re doing here, and I hope you continue.

    Thanks for sharing! xo
